Turret and Terrain is a home and garden blog that produces high quality video and photographic renovation content for its online community. Based in Lansing, Michigan, it documents the restoration of a Victorian-period property. Turret and Terrains’ success has been built on a deep appreciation for historical architecture. Ensuring their viewers’ interests are being shared throughout the content creating process. By expanding their post on architectural restoration, refurbished decor, and landscaping, Turret and Terrain viewers are encouraged to find value in antique details, make the most of their land, and take on their own projects.

History

Turret and Terrain was created by Alyssa Myers in Lansing Michigan during the summer of 2021. The online blog serves as a digital journal, documenting the restoration of a Victorian-style period property into a forever home. With a BFA in Art and Design and a deep appreciation for historical to modern art, Alyssa brings a unique vision to every aspect of the project. She is accompanied by her husband, Josh, a Construction Engineer, as the couple works to preserve the home’s historic charm.

The blog highlights the family’s efforts to maintain a functional garden and care for their honeybees, all with the company of their two dogs, Flynn and Koda, and their cat, Cornelius. Turret and Terrain is a source of inspiration for those who appreciate architecture, design, and a connection to nature.
